Olot Meats receives supervision from a team of official veterinarians attached to the Generalitat de Catalunya Public Health Agency, and nine veterinary technicians who perform the ante-mortem and post-mortem inspections.
The final decision on the meats rests with the official veterinarians, who also carry out audits and controls across the entire process (animal welfare, best practices, hygiene, etc.), all based on the quality management, prerequisite and self-monitoring systems introduced into the company.
