The main objective of this project is to demonstrate the feasibility of reusing wastewater generated by slaughterhouses. To achieve this, the project seeks to identify the technical, economic, and regulatory barriers currently limiting water reuse within the meat industry. Once these challenges have been identified, innovative pilot-scale technologies will be implemented and validated to ensure that treated water complies with the requirements established by public authorities for its safe use in activities outside the production process.
